Do we live in A Simulation in Kent Ohio?
We live within a program that says that we need XYZ.... most likely meaning "bigger, better, living larger!" This, in my opinion is an Error. Living in a sustainable manor is a much wiser, humbler and more agreeable way to go. I would also argue, if we do not do this, we might soon cease to exist on this planet.
In 2012, I challenged myself to live smaller and moved into a one-bedroom flat, about the size of a small, double-wide trailer. What I learned from that experience is that all I really NEED is food, shelter, and clothing. I also realized that I have an over abundance of all of these things! I am so grateful for the supply chain that delivers quality organic food to almost my door! I have enough shelter - I mean, how much more space does one person really need? I live in approximately 600 square feet of living space with a beautiful deck which looks over the city and my green house below.
And so the question I find most difficult is sorting out needs vs wants. Evidence strongly suggest the marketing machine has blurred these definitions to the corporations advantage. What is it that we are programmed to need? An Olympic sized pool, a 3000-plus square-foot home for two... oh and lets add domesticated cats and dogs that will listen to us upon command with invisible fences that shock them when they miss behave. Yikes!!!
So, let's negotiate! where there's a win-win. Bringing it home, I provide the necessities and then some.... in a space some might call not enough! Just go to KentSuites.com and check-out our listings. You will see what I mean, the spaces are beautiful with many amenities and packed with ample storage space. On top of all of this, I offer each tenant a FREE garden where quality food can be grown pesticide and GMO-free.
So I ask you, put a price on all of this, please, and then tell me what you come up with... I am so curious.
