In this day of easy ordering and its at your door tomorrow is their any hope for ending this buying spree? Here at KentSuites we like to think we can turn things around. A place to start is to have an appreciation in found objects. Its the way of the artist.
Have you ever looked at amazing art in a museum and was at aw at the creativity of putting what many would consider dissimilar objects together but when used together there is a harmony which we call art! This is what attempt to do at KentSuites with our unique environments, which we call art. This construction photo is a prime example... Almost every component used was a found or saved object. The bricks were paving bricks used in Kent streets over 100 years ago. The small tile chip is a piece of scrap tile from Mexico used in our bathroom projects. The light was aquired at Habitat for Humanity Restore. Putting it all together there is a feeling of later time where craft or purpose had meaning.
Just think of it, if we all slowed down to the speed of life, we could all apply this philosophy to our daily lives. Maybe this post can be the catalist for you, and just maybe the next time you go to click the buy button, you will look over and see an object that is right in front of you that will do the job.
